REM is just a great band. They have such a variety of sounds from "everybody hurts" to "the one I love" which has a great hard rock riff. I'm so freaking bored with music these days, there aren't many bands that will actually attain longevity beyond a "where are they now, the 2000's" episode on VH1 in 2025.

Michael Stipe is, and by far, one of the gods in my Rock & Roll Pantheon. Nightswimming is one hell of a song!
